Julie is Head of Marketing and Communications at OsloMet, where she works to increase awareness of our university’s study programs and research, attract well‑qualified applicants, and ensure that students receive clear and helpful information throughout their journey. She also leads initiatives to strengthen OsloMet’s reputation in education, research, and public engagement, and she is passionate about developing impactful marketing campaigns and improving how we communicate across our channels.
Gaël is an experienced digital communications specialist. He has worked in television, print media, and international organizations, and has been head of communications at EPFL since 2022.
This workshop will identify the strengths and weaknesses of different models for organizing communication teams and departments at universities.
Based on lessons learned from OsloMet (Oslo Metropolitan University) and EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), we will explore how faculty and local communicators can be integrated into a coherent, university-wide communication strategy.
The presentation will be followed by a discussion and exchange of experiences across universities, with a particular focus on governance, roles, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
