Emmanuelle Almendra has been working in Higher Education for nearly 15 years on projects coordination and communication-marketing. She first joined the AGERA alliance, a network of Grandes Écoles in the Lyon area, and was the operational delegate for three years. Since then, for the last 12 years she has been a project manager in the CPE Lyon communication team. She previously worked for the French car maker Automobiles Citroën in Paris as internet projects coordinator for five years. She graduated from Grenoble École de Management (Business School), France.
In this workshop we will demonstrate how CPE Lyon has successfully strengthened its community engagement over the last few years, improving links with alumni, students and staff.
The objective of this workshop is to discuss what factors need to be taken into account to successfully encourage community engagement in universities. Based on the experience of CPE Lyon over the last few years, participants will also be able to share their own strategic drivers, including:
- Offering incentives to encourage communities to engage more
- Communication strategies
- The organisation itself
- Effective databases
Emmanuelle will also showcase how CPE Lyon has recently established a cloud-based online platform to manage all types of community engagement.
