The Organisation reserved a number of rooms at conference rates in several 3 and 4 star hotels within walking distance from the event venue. August is a peak season in Trieste. Enjoy this opportunity and book your room at your earliest convenience. All rooms are subject to availability. Please note that rates (breakfast and VAT included) are only valid for reservations made by the different booking systems per each hotel.  After release dates the rates will only be valid upon availability.

It’s a hotel that immediately evokes all the Mitteleuropean’s heritage of the city. Since it opened, in 1911, the hotel has hosted titled families (Emperor Franz Josef was a frequent guest), artists, diplomats, and an international tourist elite that came to Trieste as a stop on their “Grand Tour d’Europe”. Many of the main landmarks of the city are close by, such as Piazza Unità d’Italia. It has an impressive white façade gazing over the view of the Gulf of Trieste.

2. Double Tree by Hilton Trieste****

The DoubleTree by Hilton Trieste is housed in a sumptuous historical palace located in the historic centre of Trieste. The hotel opened in 2019 and it’s located in the sumptuous building of 1914 in an eclectic style that once housed the headquarters of the RAS (Riunione Adriatica di Sicurtà) insurance company. The Novecento Restaurant and the Berlam Coffee Tea & Cocktail have been created in the historic spaces of the building, preserving the frescoed ceilings, marbles and original decorations

3. NH Trieste Hotel****, 
Corso Cavour, 7

The hotel is about 4 minutes walk from the main train station and about about 3 minutes walk from one of the nicer glimpse of the city: the Ponterosso canal. The building was erected in 1951, in the area of ​​old shipyards and port depots. The hotel is surrounded by historical buildings and in the nearby there is the entrance of the old harbour area.

4. Hotel Continentale****,
Via San Nicolò, 25

 

The Hotel Continentale is located in Via San Nicolò, in the historical city centre. The building, was built between 1875 and 1880. In the surrounding area, there is a great variety of restaurants, bars, cafes and fashion shops. Although in 1878 the establishment was not the elegant hotel it is today, it was more than acceptable for a “clandestine couple”: the famous Italian poet Giosuè Carducci and his muse “Lina”. The two lovers organized a secret journey to Trieste but at their arrival the couple was spotted by a journalist and news of the great poet’s presence in the city spread like lightning.

5. The Modernist Hotel****,
Corso Italia 12

 

Located in the hearth of the city center, close to the ancient roman theatre and Piazza della Borsa (one of the most important square in the city), this very stylish hotel opened in 2019. It’s located in Ananian palace, built between 1905 and 1909 at the behest of the Armenian-born doctor Gregorio Ananian, a philanthropist and former obstetrician of the Sultan of Constantinople’s harem.

6. Hotel Urban Design****,
Androna Chiusa, 4

This modern hotel, located in the historical area of the city, is 14 minutes walk from the Cathedral of San Giusto, dating back to the 14th century. The hotel has been inaugurated in December 2006 after a little more than two years of preservative renovation works. While renovating the buildings, many archaeological remains have been discovered. Among these are the ruins of the wall of the Roman city of Tergeste (dated between the 4th and the 6th century AD) and of a stepped dock, which dates back to the building of the harbour between the 1st and the 2nd century AD. Both of them can now be admired in the Breakfast Room of the hotel.

7. Albergo alla Posta***

The hotel is located in the Borgo Teresiano (Theresian District) in the centre of Trieste. The hotel, built in 1801, is about 7 minutes walk from the main train station and it overlooks the stop of the traditional Opicina tram and Piazza Oberdan, one of the main square of the city, where several historical events took place. Near the hotel is the Language School for Interpreters and Translators, the Post Office Palace, the Courthouse and the Risorgimento Museum, as well as lots of restaurants and cafes.

Situated in the historical center, the Hotel Colombia has been recently refurbished and it’s located just moments away from the main sightseeing, shopping areas and the railway station.
