The EUPRIO Annual Conference 2018 held in Sevilla is over!
The Conference held in Sevilla had 26 sessions – keynote, masterclasses, workshops, endnote – and 29 speakers talking about The digital transformation: a challenge for communication in higher education from June 3 to 6.
The debate on the digital transformation inside universities was very interesting. Above all, participants appreciated the wide range of discussions arisen during the different sessions. Then, the attendees were more than 350 from 23 different Countries, included South Africa and New Caledonia.
Gerry McGovern, one of the gurus of recent web developments, who has worked with some of the biggest names in the business, such as Microsoft, Dropbox and IBM, more than lived up to the high expectations in his opening keynote.
He delivered a cracking keynote speech with a call to universities to wake-up to the transformation in marketing to students in the digital age – where sharing all manner of experiences online, including what they really think of your university, is happening around the clock.
Then, during the European Plaza participants had also the opportunity for discussing together the sub-themes selected for the next meeting.
Finally, we heard the programme for future development by our new President, Jan Dries.
