loggiato piano terraAn increasing number of courses (currently 24) are delivered in English, and there are Italian language courses for approximately 5,000 international students from 131 countries. UniTo's strong commitment to internationalization is evidenced by over 480 cooperation agreements with universities worldwide, numerous exchange programs to promote incoming and outgoing mobility, and a constant dedication to scientific and educational cooperation with other countries.

Since 2020, UniTo has been coordinating the UNITA consortium - Universitas Montium, an ambitious project involving 12 European universities in 7 countries (University of Turin, University of Beira Interior, University of Zaragoza, University of Pau and the Adour Countries, Savoie-Mont Blanc University, Vest Din Timișoara University, Guarda Polytechnic, Public University of Navarra, University of Brescia, Transilvania University of Brasov, University of Applied Sciences and Arts West Switzerland, Chernivtsi National University). The UNITA Consortium aims to establish an inter-university campus of excellence, attracting European and non-European students, leveraging the strength of multilingualism as an inclusion factor.

Moreover, the UniTo's commitment to innovation and research is demonstrated by the submission of over 1,400 projects submitted in response to competitive calls for funding from local, national, and international programs, both public and private.

UniTo is highly aware of its role in the local community and, in line with its Third Mission, promotes knowledge transfer to businesses through patents and spin-offs. The university boasts specific industrial expertise in areas such as agrifood, circular & bioeconomy, cultural heritage, energy and the environment, banking and finance, health, mobility and transportation, smart technologies for industry and businesses, and space science.

UniTo is publicly engaged in economic, social, and environmental sustainability issues, annually publishing a Sustainability Report that informs stakeholders of ethical and practical commitments and the impact of the University of Turin on the territories and people it serves.
