Brunella Marchione is the Head of Communications and External Relations Department and Head of Press office at the University of Parma and Italy’s deputy national representative on EUPRIO's Steering Committee since September 2014.
After graduating in Foreign Languages and Literature at the University of Bologna, she attended training courses on management of public administration, public communication and university communication, including internal and external communication, advertising campaigns, communication plans, marketing, fund raising, web communication and social media communication,.
She has worked at the University of Parma since 1988, coordinating all the communication and information activities aimed at different external and internal audiences and has been a journalist since 1996.
Brunella has been a teacher and organiser of training courses on university communication; author of several essays and articles and rapporteur at over 30 conferences on public and university communication.
In 1992, she was a founding member of AICUN, the Italian Association of University Communicators and was its Vice-President from 1994-2006 and its President from 2007-11.
Brunella has been a member of EUPRIO since 1990 and was the association’s secretary from 1993 to 1997.
